I am a cut-paper artist from Warren, RI. I was born and raised in New England. I graduated from Harvard College and The Harvard Graduate School of Design. I played varsity football for three years. I was an architect for forty-two years, until my retirement in 2013. Since 2009, I spent increasing amounts of time on my artwork. My work involves the creation of three dimensional surfaces and objects from two dimensional patterns and parts. My work is defined by intricate patterns and textures that emphasize the play of light and shadow. I have exhibited in various local galleries, and am pleased to be able to show my art to a wider audience. Follow me on Instagram @rpillsbury.cutpaper.
